1. Who we are and when this policy takes effect
OC Mobile Dog Grooming is a website at ocmobiledoggrooming.com operated by OC Mobile Dog Grooming ("we", "us", or "our"). We are an independent referral service. We connect dog owners in Orange County, California with local, independently owned grooming professionals. We do not groom dogs ourselves.
This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through the website, through the phone numbers shown on the website, and through messages we send about your grooming request.
Effective date: October 13, 2026.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us on the quote form
- Your name
- Your phone number
- Your email address, if you provide it
- Your ZIP code
- Your dog's size and, if you provide it, breed
- The service you want and when you would like it
- Anything you write in the notes field, such as matting, anxiety, or your dog's age
- Your consent to be contacted, the date you gave it, and the version of the consent wording you agreed to
Information collected when you call
When you call a phone number shown on the website, our call tracking provider records your phone number, caller ID name if available, the number you dialed, the date, time, and length of the call, and your general location as indicated by your phone number. If call recording is turned on for that number, the call itself is recorded. See section 8.
Information collected automatically
- Your IP address
- Your browser type, device type, and operating system (the "user agent")
- The pages you visit, the page you submitted a form from, and the website that referred you
- Campaign tags in the link you followed, such as UTM source, medium, and campaign
- Analytics data, such as page views, approximate location at the city or region level, time on page, and events like tapping a phone number or starting the form. See section 9.
We do not ask for, and you should not send us, payment card numbers, government identification numbers, or health information about yourself.
3. How we use your information
- To connect you with a groomer. We use your ZIP code to find the independent groomer who covers your area, and we send your request to that groomer.
- To respond to your request. We, and the groomer we refer you to, use your contact details to call, text, or email you about your grooming request.
- To send grooming tips and offers, only if you ask. If you tick the box to get tips and offers by email, we add your email address to our mailing list. We send these emails ourselves, never sell or share the list, and every email has an unsubscribe link. You can also unsubscribe by emailing [email protected]. Leaving the box unticked does not affect your quote.
- To show local information. Our hosting provider estimates your general city and ZIP code from your IP address so pages can mention your area, for example "Mobile grooming in Irvine." We use this only while the page loads and do not store it.
- To measure and improve the site. We look at which pages and services people use, which pages lead to calls and quote requests, and where the site is not working well.
- To keep the site safe. We use your IP address and related data to block spam, limit repeated submissions, and prevent fraud.
- To run our business. We use lead records to count referrals, report to groomers on the leads from their area, and bill groomers for referrals.
- To meet legal obligations. We keep records needed to show that you consented to be contacted and to respond to legal requests.
We do not use your information to make decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects.
4. Who we share your information with
The groomer serving your area
When you submit the quote form, we send everything you entered on the form, along with your general region, to the independent grooming professional who covers your ZIP code. When you call a number on the site, the call is forwarded to that groomer, who sees your phone number. The groomer is a separate business. Once they receive your information, their own privacy practices apply to how they use it.
Service providers that run the site
We use outside companies to operate the website. They process information on our behalf and only for the purposes we set:
- Hosting and content delivery (CDN): serves the website, stores lead records, and processes form submissions.
- Email delivery: sends your request to the groomer and to us.
- Call tracking: provides the phone numbers on the site, forwards calls, logs call details, and stores recordings when recording is on.
- Analytics: measures site traffic and conversions.
- Bot protection: checks that form submissions come from a person and not an automated program.
Other disclosures
We may disclose information if the law requires it, to protect the rights or safety of any person, or as part of a sale, merger, or transfer of the business, in which case this policy continues to apply to the information transferred.
We do not sell lists of contacts to marketers or data brokers.
5. How we are paid, and what that means for your information
OC Mobile Dog Grooming is paid by the grooming professionals we refer you to. Groomers pay us for referrals, which can include your name, phone number, ZIP code, and the details of your request. Using the site is free to you, and the groomer, not us, sets the price of any grooming.
Because we receive payment when we share your information with a groomer, California law may treat that sharing as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. You have the right to opt out, as described in section 6.
6. Your California privacy rights
If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives you these rights:
- Right to know. You can ask what personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources, why we collected it, the categories of businesses we shared it with, and a copy of the specific information.
- Right to delete. You can ask us to delete personal information we collected from you, subject to limited exceptions in the law.
- Right to correct. You can ask us to correct personal information about you that is inaccurate.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing. You can tell us not to sell or share your personal information.
- Right to non-discrimination. We will not treat you differently for using any of these rights.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
The "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in the footer of every page leads here. To opt out, email [email protected] with the subject "Do Not Sell or Share" and include the phone number or email address you used. We will stop sending your information to groomers for payment and will tell any groomer who has received it in the past 90 days that you opted out.
Please know that sending your request to a groomer is the service the site provides. If you opt out, we cannot pass along future quote requests from you. You can still contact a groomer directly on your own.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of sale or sharing for that browser.
How to make a request
Email [email protected] and tell us which right you want to use. To protect your information, we will confirm your identity by matching details you give us, such as your name and the phone number on your request, against our records. You may use an authorized agent; we may ask the agent for proof that you gave them permission and may ask you to confirm your identity directly.
We will confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 days. If we need more time, we will tell you why, and we may take up to 45 more days as the law allows.
7. Text messages
When you check the consent box on the quote form, you agree to the following:
By checking this box I agree that OC Mobile Dog Grooming and the independent grooming professional it refers me to may contact me by phone, text message, and email at the number and address I provided about my grooming request. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchase. I can opt out at any time by replying STOP to a text or by emailing [email protected].
Texts are about your grooming request, such as a quote, questions about your dog, or scheduling. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.
To stop receiving texts, reply STOP to any text message. You may receive one final message confirming that you have opted out. You can also email [email protected]. Reply HELP to a text for help.
We do not share your phone number or text consent with anyone for their own marketing. Your number goes only to the groomer we refer you to, for your grooming request, and to the service providers listed in section 4.
8. Call recording
Calls to the phone numbers on this website may be recorded for quality purposes, such as checking that calls are answered and that referrals are handled well. When recording is on, a notice plays at the start of each call before you are connected. California requires the consent of everyone on a call before it is recorded. If you do not want your call recorded, please hang up and use the quote form instead.
Recordings are stored by our call tracking provider and can be heard by us and by the groomer who received the call.
9. Cookies and analytics
We use three analytics tools.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits and page views. It does not use cookies, does not store information in your browser, and does not track you across other websites.
- Our own event counter records when someone taps a phone number or a quote button, or uses the grooming schedule tool, with the page, the time and the approximate city. It sets no cookies and stores no names, email addresses or IP addresses.
- Google Analytics 4 measures how people use the site and which pages lead to calls and quote requests. It sets first-party cookies on this site to recognize your browser between visits, and it records pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and events such as tapping a phone number, starting the form, or reaching the thank-you page. Google processes this data on our behalf.
We have configured Google Analytics with Google Signals and ad personalization turned off, and we do not use it for cross-site advertising. We do not use it to build advertising profiles or to follow you across other websites. Google may still process the data under its own terms as our service provider. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and Google offers a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics on all sites.
Our bot protection tool may also check basic signals from your browser when you submit the form, only to tell people from automated programs.
We do not use advertising pixels, retargeting cookies, or social media tracking on this site.
10. How long we keep information
We keep lead records, meaning quote form submissions and call logs, for 24 months from the date we receive them. After 24 months we delete them. Call recordings are kept no longer than 24 months. Google Analytics event data is kept for no longer than that tool's retention setting, which is 14 months at most. We may keep information longer only if the law requires it or if it is needed to resolve a dispute, and only for as long as that need lasts.
Groomers who receive your request keep it under their own practices.
11. Children
This website is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us information, email [email protected] and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy and how to contact us
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and change the effective date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use information we already have, we will ask for your consent where the law requires it.
Questions or requests about your privacy can go to [email protected]. You can also call (820) 386-5188, though privacy requests are best made by email so we have a written record.
